Yet another Taxi Accident!
I go to meet sooz at the airport, and she's limping! So we headed right to the emergency room, where they greeted her by name (okay not really...) We did make off with some great hospital stuff...biogel gloves, EKG patches, kidney shaped tray thingy...she's fine, now limping around with crutches and an "air cast". pictures later!

Post Xmas
Had Xmas alone with the fuzzie family members...made myself a steak, and went and saw
Lost In Translation finally, which is a good alone movie. Noticed that nite though that the normally snaggle toothed Judgie had a tooth coming out horizontally! I got him to the vet this morning, and they just yanked it out. He was very well behaved, and even rode the bus!

woOt Xmas!
The Xmas Eve Dinner/Sixth nite of Hannukah was lovely. Dinner was good, music was listened to, and Rosie's latex attired dolls were played with. Afterwards, we headed to Delilah's, where the January flyers were out...looks like someone named DJ Sam-A-Rama will be there ;) Hung with Alex for a while, consumed lots of PBR. It was not a silent nite. I think to celebrate my aloneness I will go check out a couple of movies...Maybe Lost in Translation and Cold Mountain?

Ugh, my adapter is dead, and the apple store doesn't have them in stock. sooo...I have about an hour left of power. They say sometime next week :(

BTW...Godiva Cranberry-Rasperry truffles are the most insanely delicious thing in the world.
Yay!
Work 'til 6 today, then I am off Xmas Eve, and day. Going to Delilah's Xmas eve, and not too sure xmas day. Sooz is in Seattle, so it's just me and the furry residents here. I'm going to cook something though.

otherwise, just chilling in front of the fire with a kitty and the xmas tree lites and its nice...sigh.

Do you use Safari on yr Mac?
If so I must heartily recommend
Pith Helmet. It's like PBS for the internet...when you have the pop-up blocker on, coupled with this thing which blocks annoying banner ads, you have NO ADS. wow!
why am I so tired?
Didn't really DO much today, except band practice, where we decided to go in a more avant garde direction (I need to put away the John Zorn). Took a long nap, am now cramping. Should get more sleep I guess.

The Blisters ROCK!!
Setlist:
Heavy Metal Drummer
encore: Heavy Metal Drummer (no guitar)
Wow, did these guys rock HARD!!
Glenn Kotche was the drum tech, setting up Spencer Tweedy's little drums with Jeff Tweedy filling in on HR duties...Dylan's vocals were full of attitude coming thru the most adorable little Marshall Stack you ever SAW and Henry on Keyboards (complete with little Beethovan Bust on it) provided the best ending to the song ever imagined. Sam Tweedy even sat in on bongos.
They had the crowd under their thumb, with the screaming masses singing along with the "Woohoo HEYS" (punching it well, mind you) and got a standing ovation, which brought them out again to play the song ONE MORE TIME for the encore...without the grown help on guitar. The backstage scene was incredible, the guys already had swarms of female groupies...watch out, they are gonna ROCK THE WORLD!! WoOt!
Still at second city, well, the Piper's Alley Starbucks...
...reading this story about ozzy in an accident but the funny part to me is:
""He's doing very well. He's comfortable and had a comfortable night and the vital signs are perfectly normal," said Dr. Dick Jack, medical director at Wexham Park Hospital."
Dr. Dick Jack? what an unfortunate name!
Second City thing still going!
I'm at the Starbucks...Jeff was tres entertaining tonite. He played two songs, Chinese Apple(!) and Dreamer in My Dreams and wowed the crowd with his Michael Stipe impression. I guess I'm in this thing for the long haul, will post with an update when i'm really loopy later.

We're at the Apple Store
For the autumn defense show. Yes, it's my Mac's first show :)
Haha
Thursday's romance scope:
The celestial alignment makes you even more uncompromising than ever, and you can be far more determined than most. If there is some poor innocent person that you have set your sights on, but haven't revealed your intentions to, this could be the day to do so. We can only pity their bleating cries as they struggle in vain to resist the totally and utterly irresistible.
so did it work? did i do anything? of course not really. i'm tired. i almost fell asleep in the tub. mermaids. i don't know my blood type. funny stuff happened today. good funny, funny peculiar, you know.

It's been a while since the how well do you know me quiz!
So here's a new one with eight tough questions!
It's Here!!
Angst
my yahoo romance scope was right on. not that i put any faith in such things, it is a funny coincidence:
Today's planetary energy will not exactly encourage you to open up and share your deepest and most sincere feelings. You may instead feel like delivering one of your famous stings, if anyone so much as dares to mention a particular person who is causing you quite a bit of angst. It may be better still if you keep to small talk, rather than attempting any deep stuff.
yep. angst. i hate this. i hate the something out of nothing. the weird churniness. i just want to sleep for a week.

urgh....
don't get me wrong, I'm good and happy, but now there's just something else that's all...grrrrr.....
Good gods, where do I start?
wow, what an intense 3 days of partying and getting into trouble. Kristina and her British friends Alex, Ryan and Zoe arrived late Friday nite. Saturday nite after I worked we had Chicago Pizza, aka a whole lotta fucking cheese and some sauce, and proceeded to Jake's Pub with Jeff and Daniel, where I hadn't been in a while. I miss that bar, but I'm not sure I'll be going back soon...we had a few ciders, shots, carbombs(?) whatever and then walked to the Bottom Lounge for the Fruit Bats show. Met up with Kevin, Theresa, Jackie, Matthew and Graham there, and drank more. The show was good, I recall, lots of arms around each other swaying kinda moments. I then gave Jeff a paint roller I found in the bathroom, and apparantly Kristina at some point in the show fell over, and her coat was stollen? Jeff and I took off our shoes if I recall correctly. After some altercation with the bartender a lot of us went back to Jakes, where the music was better and the drinks were cheaper. We drank more...we had a huddle and sang along to Via Chicago on the jukebox. The bartender didn't want me giving Kristina any more drinks when I ordered two...hmmm...we made it home.
The holiday tree trimming party followed the next day after bringing home a tree on Sooz's Beetle (pictures to come!) We drank Glogg and ate yummy food and decorated the tree and watched the Star Wars Holiday Special...whoa. oh yeah, and some of us drank..we played pass the parcel, Daniel kissed me under the mistletoe, Graham took a shower...we drank.
tonite was a nice low key nite at the hideout followed by food at Arturo's tacos, whose menu features such delights as beef brian tacos, and something that is flute shapped. it is now the official after h/o eatery.
I had soooo much fun these past few days. I can't wait 'til Kristina and Daniel (and Alison!!) move here. it's so nice to just get along with people and not get annoyed by them, if you know what I mean. I feel so lucky sometimes to be surrounded by sooo many great people: Sooz, Mark, Jasmine, Theresa, Jackie, Lou, Rosie, Graham, Sandi, Kristina, Daniel, Jeff, Kevin, Judy, Matthew...and everyone who wasn't around but should be: Dick, Alison, Bill...thanks for putting up with me :)

Holy Crap...
I am alive. Barely. Much partying has been done, perhaps I will soon go into detail on what I can remember. Kristina and her British friends, and Daniel, and various other people who have crashed out here the past coupla nites are/have been here. I should really try for a few more hours of sleep now.
