A-Cup Rose
The cookout was a lovely time, with a trivial pursuit game ending in a stalemate between mine and Alison's team and.... who was tied with us? speak up! there was plenty of food and margie's later and delicious margaritas and wine and beer. dang. oh and the place filled up with smoke twice and the alarm went off twice.
holy crap, was season 2 of Home Movies the funnierst thing EVER?! The birthday party episode? The Field Trip one? Walter and Perry all OVER?!?

Can Star Wars Do THIS?
Sooz and I saw Episode III last nite. It was better than I hoped for, but so weird knowing everything that was going to happen. It was kind of a downer, man, Darth Vader is a real asshole.
We are having a day before memorial day cookout type thing today (as in Sunday). Of course most of our friends are out of town, band practicing, whatever, so not many people will show up. That's okay, more etc. for us. Went garage saleing and burbing today with sooz. I'm not gonna tell you where we went shopping. Now I am watching Home Movies season 2. woooot.

The Love Calculator
Dr. Love thinks that a relationship between sam o'rama and ************ has a very good chance of being successful, but this doesn't mean that you don't have to work on the relationship. Remember that every relationship needs spending time together, talking with each other etc."
I know this is totally scientific.

Some Changes Around Here
Due to popular demand (okay one guy i know, hi graham) I will now, when sober enough to remember and or put it in the CSS, have a link open in a new window. new windows are okay, i freaking love tabbed browsing. I am going to marry it. screw my crush. you know, thinking back on it, I think i've known the crush for a while now. it just started to crush me though.
oh yeah, saw jeff tweedy solo at northwestern with glenn kotche opening. the loose fur twofer encore was my favorite part. then paul, xtina, jeremy and i split for the hideout, eventually joined by kris and graham to enjoy fucking ed burch. oh and the shots! that bluegrassy ramones was pretty cool. everything there was pretty cool. the first couple blue moons i drank were sooooo delicious. hey sooz, how do you feel about a musical barbeque this sunday?! i think i have some talent potentially lined up.

The Robot Ate Me and Catch 22
Paul, Xtina and I went to see
the Robot Ate Me at the Empty Bottle, which lived up to its name, with no more than 50 people in there. (I knew one of them, besides the 2 I was with). It was a very endearing show though, being especially cool when he had the audience providing different vocal instruments. I bought a way too small tshirt that you will probably never see me wear.
Cingular says I've got a phone upgrade coming my way. thank the gods, since my current one has all sorts of wacky battery issues. However, they want me to go thru the process on their website, which my Mac stays in perpetual "signing in" on their website. I tried on a windows PC, and that doesn't seem to work either (well, I can at least sign in, that's about as far as I get). To send them an email regarding their site, I must sign in. Ha. thanks for the help.

oh yeah part 6
the answer is NOT john cocktose.
oh yeah
I am totally crushing, but when faced with the opportnity to do anything about it, i turn into a clam. like a clam that is all closed up and cannot say anything because they are a big fucking moronic clam that lives in a shell and that shell is closed up. good gods.
Trivial Pursuit Millenium Edition
Gina won, but I was right behind her. The drunker we got, the more hints were given. The dance interlude to the spice girls "Wannabe" by Paul and I probably didn't help matters. The green wine was good (not fizzy). Tomorrow, the robot ate me at the empty bottle!!!! Oh also thanks to Brianne for Mad Libs and Sour Gummi worms.

A look back at Monday nite
It just occured to me I never posted about Monday. Went to the Hideout, where there a bunch of people playing with Ed in honor of Tom Frank. I got in as the Waco Brothers were playing.I missed Ed's set! Kristina rode her bike there, then had to go home for the lock. There were a lot of people I knew there, and I didn't even get that drunk. Rachel gave me some nice rings, one of which I proceded to break on my finger when she gave me back the Hannukah cookie tin we had given her (full of cookies for Chanukka back in December, duh!). I guess this means we have to give her more cookies this Haunnnukah. Ed did play us a song (upon Stacy's request, as she left), and Gina, Kristina, Jeremy, Lou and I shared four beers.
okay! work work, then hopefully the robot ate me Sunday! Ohmigods, the new Stephen Malkmus is really rad. I didn't like the first two (last two?) solo albums, but this one is goooooood.

woot what a weekend
Saturday nite went and saw Palliard and Lesser Birds at Open End, with a FREE KEG. Kristina and I met some guy at the bus stop, but he left when we started dancing to the 80s hits. Last night was On Filmore and Deerhoof at the Bottle. I must have been too wasted when Deerhoof opened for Wilco, but I TOTALLY enjoyed them last nite and didn't at ALL remember Satomi's dance moves. Tonite = Hideout. Tuesday = day off sleeping the fuck in.

Somebody peed in my bed
It wasn't me. My pants are not wet. I don't understand, the cats' litter box is immaculate, they had food, so i know they weren't pissed at me. I can't imagine Amelia hopped in the bed and took a tinkle and I didn't notice it. Vinnie is in my lap and giving me kisses now. perhaps he is a double agent?!

Wilco Week Wrap Wup
I saw Wilco four time at the pretty alright Vic Theatre here last week. I think I have my fill of Wilco for now. I mean, I like hanging with my friends, and the music is good... but like, I mean, I'd ride in a car if they were playing within like 6 hours from here. And when they release the DVD of these shows, I really won't have to go see them, right? The shows were great, though. First nite was a little stiff maybe. Second nite was possibly the best? Third was solid, and the highlight of all four of these has to have been Just a Kid played with the Blisters. SOOOOOOOO aweXome! Fourth night was beseiged by techincal problems involving the electricness of Jeff's electric guitars, so a 37 song set (mostly accoustic) was played. I made a request (they were asked for, and I raised my hand) and got an interesting version of Candyfloss and was then lambasted on the msg board for picking it. The partying down at Schuba's afterwards with Paul, Heidi and um, others was truly a good time. However, my body is now paying for all tha partying down. Maybe it was the Mexican food though, ah who knows! Hideout tonite... it never ends. I don't really ever want it to end though, unlike this new Weezer album. Ha, no. it's catchy. I feel guilty for liking it, I mean, bitchdork gave it a .4. that's a POINT 4. four tenths of one out of ten. My gods, I don't feel like digusting after listening to it. it's cute!
