hot damn.
I traded in the teal DS that Sooz worked so hard to find for the new DS lite. Sadly the lite is wite. I mean white. It looks like a tiny iBook. It does PLAY well though, and as such, I have become a Mario Kart fiend. In fact, I am going to play NOW.
Off tomorrow, I want to go see Nacho Libre, I think I will be going it alone. Oh well.

Wow there has been much rocking the past few days.
Tonite was Catfish Haven, the Black Angels and Pink Mountaintops. Holy shit. Towards the end of the nite, all three bands worth of people were onstage. 5 of them were ladies. Lots of fuzzy guitars and percussion. I felt like it was 1972 or something. Amazing! I am eager to get the 2 Pink Mountaintops LPs now.
Sunday was Adam and Black Bear Combo at h/o for the LA Jesus Bday thing. I was not feeling it, which was not at all the fault of anyone involved. I am glad Judy and Doug from Canada got to see it.
Saturday at Ribfest with like half the people I know in Chicago was awesome. Detholz!, Healthy White Baby and Bobby Bare Jr. were all worth $5 and a generous side of BBQ sauce. And cheesefries. And funnelcake. Oh yeah, and beers. Friday I might try Taste of Randolph with Son Volt. Man, leave it Chicago to combine eating and rocking and getting drunk. Street Fests RULE.

Hot Tropical Vibes
Bria and I met up with Paul at the Abbey for Tilly and the Wall. Hooray! They are soooo good. Devin was also there, and may have had the longest exchange with him ever. (meaning like 3 sentences.)
Man, the weather is nice right now! In the next four days I could potentially see Betty LaVette, Mucca Pazza, HWB, Detholz, BBJ, Adam Fitz and more! phew. I think I am already wiped out.
Speaking of wiped out, Adam is passed out on the love seat. The recliner might be comfier.
