Holy Crap. Plastic Crimewave's Guitarkestra tonite at the Bottle was pretty mind blowing. You know how everything just comes together kinda magically? All the right good pieces just align for like 40 minutes of the chord of E!
OMG, I'm going to post my first uploaded video, from my damn phone! technology is amazing! Oh a warning, turn your speakers down. I warned you. I like this one because you can see Bria and DantheFan too.
Okay, one more. It won't really do any good at conveying the feeling, but it's a tiny reminder.
my r hand is way swollen. iv fluid? lotsa guests 2day: sooz, laura, adam, meg. tv was watched. adam was thrilled to watch gray's anatomy in a real hospital. sooz turned the benchy thing into a bed. was exposed to bright lites for 3.3 hrs starting at 6 am. got to go back to sleep at 930, so i got a few hours sleep. watched a lot of anna nicole trial crap today, i am an expert. currently wearing mardi gras beads sent by john. looking way forward to sleep at 430 and brownies at home. will i make it to mucca pazza at double door 2mrrw? we'll see...
lunch was good! turkey and dressing and green beans! i'm not even gonna be too sad i didnt get ham steak and au gratin potatoes. been playing lots of FFIII and watching CNN anna nicole coverage. yipes.
Not photoworthy. 2 pancakes, and one sad sausage link. I am now eagerly awaiting what is coming up on "Starz" but will likely go with Battlestar Galactica season 1 and some Final Fantasy III on the DS, or more Phoenix Wright.
Visitors, please!
edit: the Robin Williams in an RV movie is not a good idea. I am instead going with the already started Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I actually went (alone!) and saw this in the theatre. Of course, I also have most of the unchanged dialog from the book memorized from repeated readings...)
This place is beginning to feel like my second home. Sooz and Laura dropped me off and hung for a bit. Got the thing back in my thing tonite, IV tomorrow.
The 90s party was Friday nite... many Jell-o shots were consumed. Jeff Tweedy played in the basement Saturday, among other things that happened Saturday, most of which were pretty incredible and or awesome.
Back in the hospital tomorrow. Perhaps I will have more to say!
This was actually not a bad day. I had much fun dancing with friends at Melissa and Benetti's dancey thing at Beat Kitchen. Bria and I totally got the dancing started though, however I don't remember what song got us on the floor... It was good and from the 80s. Oh yeah!! "It's My Life" by Talk Talk. I also got to dance to my request of "Poison Arrow" by ABC! OOh, and the dance mix of "I Want Your Sex"! Hell yeah! I came home at decent hour with Bria, because I really need to pace myself the next few days. You do know the Hotel SnS is hosting the "I Hate the 90s" Party right?!? Friday nite!
Seeing as a trip to Ikea is nigh impossible this week, I got some $12 wire cubey shelf things at Target, that may collapse at any minute, but for the moment, it is nice having a good number of my records off the ground and organized in a manner that only makes sense to me. I also got Diddy Kong Racing there, and lots of lavender vanilla fabric softner. This evening we celebrated Kristina's birthday (we being X-tina, Sooz, Laura, Kris, Alison, Stacey and me) at Marakesh, where she got the best birthday serenade EVER.
Oh yeah, Tim and Eric: Awesome Show! Great Job! (or however that is punctuated) was 11 minutes of pure goodtime WTF amazingness.
I seriously need shelving for my records. I have amassed a lot of them, and 3 crates and a few stacks just doesn't cut it anymore. I need to get to Ikea ASAP, before a kitty or myself gets buried under a pile o' vinyl. Not to mention I cannot find anything. Of course, the perk of going to Ikea is a delicious meal of Swedish Meatballs!
One week 'til the party! And that other party!! And my out of townie friends arriving!! Then the hospital! This is going to be one weird week!
It is official. I have a LeSportsac addiction. I just got this one off eBay. I paid a lot less than it originally sold for, but I never even saw it in stores. Then I get an email that the new tokidoki is available!! How many bags does a girl need? (Only Laura and Sooz are allowed to answer that.)
Okay, I'm a fair-weather Bears fan. It would have been cool if they had won. I think the "party" was pretty good though. Kris, Alison, Tim, Nick, Melissa and Thax showed up, and we paid more attention to Puppy Bowl III (with the Kitty Half Time Show!) then the Super Bowl commercials. Prince was awesome! I was worried there would not be enough food, but I even have a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos left! Nick played some Wii bowling and golf with Tim and me, and we had a near accident!! Awesome! (Nothing was harmed, a bottle got knocked into my Fiesta Ware bowl full of Doritos and it was loud... wrist straps were in use). Back on the sleep schedule and wearing the , I am back in the hospital in just about two weeks, which mhttp://www2.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifeans its a few days less than that 'til party weekend! I can't wait to see everyone! Everyone, can we do a road trip this year? Please?! Okay, I need to log my bedtime. I don't even work 'til 4 tomorrow! Oh wait, the temp is -0° right now but it feels like 0°.
As of this posting it is three degrees below zero. I think the high for tomorrow (later today?), aka Super Bowl Sunday is ONE DEGREE. How thoughtful of them to give us ONE DEGREE to work with.
Went to the Bottle with Kris and Alison for Scott Amendola, Nels Cline, Jeff Parker and two other. It was an early show, and we did indeed go shopping afterwards. Imagine my disappointment when I got to the Lit'l Smokies section and it was CLEANED OUT!! I kinda had a feeling we might find some misplaced, and sure enough, there were some in the refrigerated dough case!! By some I mean ONE PACK OF BEEF but I grabbed them! There was also a lone port wine cheese spread crock sitting there, which I had contemplated earlier... Alison thought it was a sign, so I grabbed it too. I did forget crackers, but I asked Tim to get some at the Happy Spot before he leaves the store.
My bundle of Split Enz remasters arrived safely from "The Land Down Under". Man, do they sound GOOD!
Are any other Mac users having MySpace issues? I get to the log in screen and then get this message in firefox:

My ol' iBook at work and Sooz are having the same issues. I tried Safari and got a similar message.
I just ate some delicious homemade Jell-o. Sure, the prefab cups are easy, but is anything tastier than the love you whisked into that powder and boiling water? The anticipation as it sets, and gets really really cold? How long had that box been in the pantry? Why did I randomly buy a large box of lime Jell-o? I am glad I did!!
I have 8 and a 1/2 hours of 90s music! I don't know if I should eliminate in the favor of playing actually better songs, or songs that are so terrible they are the 90s. Will people leave when Geggy Tah comes on? This actually reminds me of when my best friend in high school (also Suzanne, no relation) would have parties and we would make shitty mix tapes of really good songs, but Achy Breaky Heart and shit as well so nobody would steal them.
Not much happening, it is too darn cold. Oh there was Two Cow Saturday, which was great! I didn't get quite as drunk as I usually am when I see them, but Dick kept the PBRs flowing, and fun was had. The new stuff is awesome, I now officially cannot wait for the new album... full time keys!! OOh!!
So yeah, keeping warm. I think it's supposed to be 5° on Super Bowl Sunday! I may have to take a cab home from the grocery store with my super snacks!
