I've got the strep!
I knew it was bad when the doctor at the Sticky Floor Clinic said "OH MY GOD" upon placing the wooden stick in my mouth. Speaking of which, why do those wooden sticks have expiration dates? Anyhoot. I am now on antibiotics and heavy duty ibuprophen. And off work for a few days so I don't infect anyone. Though Dave doesn't have it, and if anyone was gonna get it... uh nevermind.
Patti comes tomorrow! Nevermind that I haven't found her anywhere cat free to stay. That's what drugs are for, right?!
Listening to the new Crowded House. This is one of those magical years where several of my ultra favorite artists put out new albums: Wilco, Sloan, Crowded House, Andrew Bird.
So far: of Montreal are now in that list of ultra favorites, with some others slipping. Sloan are doing well with an actual return to form. So far, a few songs into this Crowded House I have to say I am impressed with Neil Finn for making an album that sounds like a Crowded House album and not a Neil Finn album. I think I am going to really like it.
Did I even talk about the Sloan show and how great it was? Okay, my one gripe was the Andrew portions. The guy is amazing to watch, but his songs, when in one big clump, can kinda be a downer. I guess it was different from most times I've seen them. Well at least the last two times when it was just a freakin' cavalcade of best ofs. I am happy to have seen the new songs live. However, I always worry when a band brings in a touring member. It usually indicates the bands demise.

Looptopia!

First of all, why was the flag of Croatia flying in Daley Plaza?
Looptopia was cool, at first. Gena got us into a nice launch party where we ate and drank and took advantage of the view from the 24th floor. Bobby Conn in Daley Plaza was awesome, but during the Ponys we tried to check out the action in Macys. We did get a spot of dancing in at the makeup counter. Melissa took off and we went back for Mucca Pazza, which was good, but I wish they could have come out in the crowd! We got some food at the Beef n Brandy on State Street, where I had Ham Steak covered in canned fruit cocktail. Dan met us at the BnB and we tried to get in the Cultural Center but it was full up. Gena later reported a RIOT!!

Okay, so I hope that's all the excitement. Monday is the Hideout Wilco Midnight Sale/Party! Thursday I think is Two Cow Garage at Hideout! Saturday is Sloan at Metro! OMG!!

Read All the Pamphlets
Wooooo! despite having an icky head cold (THANKS TIM) Melissa and I had a crazy fun dancey time at Metro dancin' to LCD Soundsystem! I have just taken some Walgreen Nightime Cold Relief which has fake psuedophed in it. It is making me woozy. Hooray stuff this week like Daniel Johnston and Looptopia. I hope I am feeling better.

Things In My Closet I May Never Wear
Today's article is a black shiny pleather mini skirt that zips all the way up and has a zebra print lining. New with tags, was originally $25, I bought it in a thrift for $1.90. It is actually my size. Who knows when the occasion will arise to wear such a garment?
delay!
yeah, i should update. I'd say the best thing that happened lately was the nite we went and saw Vee Dee at Beat Kitchen, and then Tim and I crashed a party for booze and stayed up playing Wii til 7am. This week I got to hang out in the basement with Tim, Matt, Adam and Dan! OMGZ fun! Did some hanging with Dave. Zelda and I hung out hardcore today and I started trying to clean my closet, which in the spirit of I will give you a new series...
